When and Where
Summer Science Camp 2014 will be held July 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26 at Pioneer High School in Whittier, CA. Pioneer High School is located off the 605 Freeway at 10800 Benavon Street, Whittier, CA 90606. See map below.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Workshops begin at 9:00am and end at 3:00pm. Students should check in at least 10-15 minutes before their session begins. All students must check in and out with a parent or guardian daily. Please do not just drop your child off without being present at check-in. Each morning of camp, an Authorized to Pick-Up (ATP) Card will to be signed by the parent or legal guardian dropping the student off. When picking the child up, return to the check in desk to pick up the ATP card, and take it to the child’s Workshop Instructor, where the parent or guardian will once again sign it. The ATP Card must then be taken from the check-in desk and turned in to the Workshop Instructor to pick up the student from his/her workshop. The adult responsible for picking up the student at the end of the day must have the ATP Card in his/her possession. ATP Cards must be left with the Summer Science Camp staff at the end of the day. A valid photo ID will be required in order to pick up the ATP Card at the end of the day. All students must be picked up promptly at 3:00pm.
Early Morning Math (Recommended)
Early Morning Math begins at 7:30am and ends at 8:45am each morning of camp. Early Morning Math (2nd-5th Grade) or ALEKS (6th-12th Grade) are optional morning sessions offered at no cost for all our registered students. We strongly encourage any student to enroll in our Early Morning Math workshops. Space is limited though so sign up early. Students enrolled in Early Morning Math should arrive at 7:15am each morning. After Early Morning Math is over, students will be directed to the regular workshop sessions beginning at 9:00am.
Tuition and Costs
Tuition for Summer Science Camp is $210 for all six days. Tuition includes the cost of workshop supplies for all six days, all printed materials, and facility use for the six days of SSC. Students will also receive an SSC t-shirt to wear. Discounts are available for families paying for multiple children. Discounts are only available when paying online. Need a scholarship?
Attending Summer Science Camp is an amazing opportunity for any child but sometimes the cost is more then some families can bear. We are dedicated to bringing the love of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to as many children as we can so we offer scholarships to families with financial need. Kids must bring their own lunch to camp everyday. Students are not allowed to leave the campus for lunch under any circumstances. Lunch breaks are supervised by Summer Science Camp staff.
Snacks and Drinks
Everyone must bring snacks and drinks to camp. We strongly recommend packing an eco-friendly water bottle and at least 1 healthy snack every day.

Refund and Billing Policy
- 100% refund until May 31st
- 50% refund until June 30th
- No refunds on or after July 1st
- Missed days of camp are not refunded.
