Summer Science Camp – Los Angeles, Orange County

This was Team Science's Volunteer Recognition Day on our 20th Anniversary! We are so proud to be here for 20 years and could not do it with the dedicated volunteers we have!

During this SSA the children learned to make their own rainbows in Science Fun. They built their own civilization underwater in Scientific Creativity. They counted down to a rocket blast off as they watched through their periscopes in 3,2,1 Blastoff! Finally, the 3-4 grade build and ran their own solar powered cars.

This year we recognized our outstanding volunteers by taking them to Knott's Berry Farm. We all enjoyed their world famous chicken dinner and all the thrills a theme park could offer!

We went to Victorville for this Saturday Science Academy. We had workshops on Forensics, Fundamentals of Flight, Robotics, and Electronics. As you can see, the students had an amazing time!

Our third Saturday Science Academy at Newcomb Academy included six workshops where children built their own "steady hand games," rockets and moon landers, windmills built for speed, all different kinds of circuits, and their own planters!
